Patina Sunset Challenge

And there's another Challenge ...
It's really a Challenge by itself, to get all the ones done that I chose! :-)

This time I made some very 'basic' jewellery. Working on
getting nice colours,
that's my goal, mixing ink and gilders paste.
After the drying process, the jewellery got sealed.

This is ring Magenta, made with stainless steel wire.
A Vintaj button ring with a little vintaj glass button on top,
that's all it is :-)

The pendant is silver plated, and can be opened to put the blank
-made of alpaca- inside. Every day another one if you like so!

With the Big Kick & the Vintaj Deco Emboss Celtic Weave folder
I gave it a nice pattern.  Again I used ink & gilders paste, trying
to get some colours, matching with this time of the year.

So... may  I introduce my pendant La Tène, in warm Autumn tones to you...

Thanks♥ for visiting my Blog!

It was really nice to participate, being a winner or not :-)
Let's wait and see who won this challenge...

Kristi Bowman’s Wonky Bead Blog Hop  - Reveal Date September 16

Wow, it took my wonkies -made by Kristi and here is
her Etsy shop - only a few days to travel from
Snohomish (US) to the Netherlands. The postman made me very happy
with the delivery only 6 days after my order.
Are they special… and wonky
J
. They are characterful  and don’t need

much additions. At least not in the way I want to design the jewellery.
3 Pieces, that’s my goal! The beads speak for themselves,
they just need a little ‘something’.
Since the beginning of September I’m  ‘playing’ with stainless steel wire,
it’s so much fun. Some parts of the jewellery are hammered.
To my first piece -Berries & Cream- I added some Agate, Rose Quartz,
Beryl, a little Ruby, Crystal and a Fresh Water Pearl. This necklace is mine,
and will go very well with my lbd with its pink accents!

In the second piece I worked with the gold coloured and the
fuchsia coloured bead, still on my beading table after having finished piece nr. 3.
What to do with them? Well… with the Agate beads I suddenly had a bouquet
of Autumn Roses ;-) the wired Rose clasp is the finishing touch!

Tetouan was 'a piece of cake', blue, brown and a chocolate brown silk ribbon,
no doubt about that colour combination. A lot of wirework, but the bronze

wire was not that difficult to work with.

So, Kristi, thanks to you I had a great time! Thanx♥ for organizing the Hop.

Let's wait and see the creations of the other participants  :-)

Sodaliet, Labradoriet

Pepita's Blogoversary and…
a very
  Yellow!!! Yellow!!! Fish

Alenka Oblin celebrates her ‘First Blogoversary Blog Hop’.
She does it  in a special way with a giveaway for 13 persons.
I’m One of the Lucky Ladies, so I do my Happy Dance!
About two weeks later, my present arrives.
I was looking at a ‘very yellow gold fish’ :-0 for quite a while
and wondered what to do with it…???????
It’s so not a ‘Dini colour’ :-)))))

http://pepita-handmade.blogspot.nl/

But I really, really love♥ the shape and the way
Alenka made the pattern on it. It has an Oriental touch,
it’s so beautiful. It reminds me of  the movie ‘The Last Emperor’
with lots of silver and gold coloured royal clothing and furniture etc.
And then comes the inspiration, those are the colours I’m looking for.
‘Silverish’ Gold!
I decide to use my good old Gilder’s Paste! German Silver it will be,
and start to ‘paint’ the fish. It works perfect for me. When it’s hardened I
spray a coating on it, my fish is ready! Citrine-, Crystal Glass-, Shell -,
Carved Agate-, Glass beads, a gold coloured link and last
but not least 2 homemade bronze connectors put the finishing touch!
A bracelet is born…

May I proudly present ‘Bracelet Cheng’, Chinese for ‘Accomplish’!
I choose the Chinese name because of the link to the movie,
My Dutch dictionary translates accomplish in ‘finish off’ and that’s
what I did. It was a real challenge, transforming the original colour of a
piece the artist has chosen into something I (and who am I?) would like to see.

Alenka, I hope you like the transformation, the bracelet now  fits to me,
I’m sure I’ll wear it very often, with ♥Love.
Thanks once again for your lovely gift!

✿❀  Bead Hoarders Blog Hop July 20th ✿❀

Yeaahh! It’s time to start hopping …
In my former posting you saw the picture of my little treasury.
Some beads that I really really love are  the silver beads I bought in Ethiopia
in 2010. They were for about 3 years in a box, waiting for me…  Looking at
them brings back memories of the hard working people and strong women
we saw during the amazing journey we made from North to South in
that very special country!  Another (completely different) subject is
my love for pearls! Since my childhood, I’m so very fond
of them when I saw my mom wearing these beauties.
They are very often on my shopping list…

In this necklace I worked with
cross pearls, some smaller grey pearls and Onyx.  I
thought that would going so well with the greyish Sari Silk.

I have been looking at my Silver treasuries for a long  time and cherished
all the  pearls♥. My necklace tells the story of a great journey and a love
that started in the past but still lasts… Swarovski and Sari Silk give the
finishing touch to my absolute favourites!

The silver components for the earrings were in my 'secret box' for at least
five years, and make a nice match with the transparent Swarovski!

Lori, you’re such a great hostess. Thank you so much and take good care of yourself!
I wish you all the best! Stay healthy...
